The Owners Corporation Committee for the Esplanade Apartments in St Kilda appointed Programmed to provide a painting service to their seaside residential building.
As the building approached its eighth anniversary, an exterior repaint was called for to restore it to its former prestige.
Standing nine storeys high with difficult access, balconies and a curved façade, specialist painting providers adept at overcoming such challenges would be critical to the project’s success.
Over approximately 4,000 hours, with a team of eight painters at any one time, including our
in-house specialist abseilers, and the use of elevated platforms, we safely accessed all levels of the building and balconies and returned the Apartment to its
full glory. The seaside property recieved a special three-coat paint application system to protect it from salt in the air although certain areas requiring extra protection were given an extra coat.
When access was required from apartment balconies, Programmed consulted and communicated closely with residents, handling this in a manner that well exceeded their expectations.
Programmed was commended on our management of the project and the final result.
