Programmed Electrical Technologies (Programmed) have previously worked with the ANZ Technology Team, developing as part of this, high standards regarding AV technology deployment. Programmed continues to maintain ANZ’s AV technology throughout Australia and are a preferred vendor.
We provide strong commercial value to ANZ because through Programmed, ANZ is able to implement a range of projects, especially those with requirements spanning the different areas of power, data communications and audio visual. ANZ finds accessing such expertise through just one company convenient and cost-effective.
The Bank is currently rolling out an upgrading and fit out programme to equip all of their branches with up-to-date technology, digital signage displays and new audio visual equipment. These are designed to specifically enhance customer experiences which are crucial to ANZ’s business and branding.
The ANZ branch in Sydney’s Chinatown was a priority site needing digital signage and new audio visual technology. It also had a non-negotiable ‘go live’ date. This meant that all trade teams had to work alongside each other at the same time. This included the Programmed Electrical and Audio Visual teams as well as digital signage provider, ANZ’s Technology Team and builders.
Programmed would supply and install a total of 19 screens across 4 levels as part of this job. These included screens in meeting rooms, multiple digital media signage displays and screens ranging from 55” to 75” screens as well as street-facing displays, a video wall and a large 95” display.
The installation of this impressively large 95” display however would be in an awkward location, the branch’s stairwell. Nonetheless, Programmed’s team of technicians expertly planned this manoeuvre and installed it without a hitch.
Further challenges to the project was the need for Programmed to install the technology and equipment whilst the site was being constructed. This complicated the process as all the new equipment needed to be protected and secured. Furthermore, testing these new installations required timely coordination with power and data coming online.
We also lent an additional hand to the ANZ IT team and digital signage contractor, helping to troubleshoot system issues, physically mounting PCs, manage cables and provide patch leads. In doing so, we were able to help ANZ ensure the Branch’s launch date was met.
Programmed’s intimate knowledge of ANZ’s technical requirements allowed the audio visual scope to be completed on time and to a high standard. To guarantee success on the actual Go Live launch day, we also provided an AV engineer for onsite technical support.
Various ANZ stakeholders were all very pleased with the outcome, especially since we were able to devise a safe work procedure to ensure that all equipment was installed in coordination with other on-site teams. This was a great outcome as, in addition to meeting all the requirements for installation, we were also able to avoid any sort of damage, injury or incidents.
