Project Description
Prior to works undertaken by Programmed, 114 William Street held a 2-star NABERS rating, meaning there was scope to improve the overall energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality and sustainability performance of the property. The building was running on high-energy costs, and the existing services were nearing the end of their lifespan, which in turn was leading to high maintenance costs.
Project Solution
Programmed conducted a comprehensive energy audit to evaluate current requirements and identify efficiency measures. Following this, Programmed was able to implement a number of agreed measures to reduce the energy consumption and maintenance costs for the building, including new lighting controls, pumps and motors, and a Bueno Smart Buildings System.
A complete base building energy metering system was installed and commissioned, providing real-time energy use trends, and alerts to the building manager.
Key Achievements
Project Outcome
Programmed’s in-depth site investigation and implementation of agreed efficiency measures has extended the life of existing equipment by four years and reduced the ongoing energy costs.
“The valuation of the building has increased considerably. The Programmed team were even able to advise my client on applicable government grants, which he was able to utilise. I look forward to working with the team on other client buildings.” – Leigh Melbourne (National Director, Capital
